Escher: The Exhibition & Experience
The Dutch master of illustrative illusion and paradox, M.C. Escher's astounding images have graced the walls of student dorm rooms for generations. Now, an all-new exhibition of close to 200 of his original works and hands-on interactive displays is coming to Brooklyn from a wildly-successful run across Europe. Escher: The Exhibition & Experience delves into the life and work of this influential 20-century graphic artist, who's beloved by scientists and art aficionados alike for his mind-blowing, mathematically-inspired creations. Relativity (which Family Guy 's Stewie once labeled "Crazy Stairs"), Hand With Reflecting Sphere, Metamorphosis II and Belvedere, which depicts a plausible-looking building that's actually an impossible object, are all a part of this amazing collection, going on display at New York's Industry City.
