Treya is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist based in New York. Lam’s debut album, Good News, was produced by Kaki King (who also plays multiple instruments throughout the album), and recorded with an array of talented womxn musicians, most notably Catherine Popper (Jack White, Norah Jones) on upright bass, and mixer Erin Tonkon (David Bowie, Esperanza Spalding). Mastered by Sarah Register, Good News is an instant classic, full of the kind of songwriting and raw talent that has never gone out of style, as well as a message of love and longing.

As part of their 2019 residency with Joe’s Pub Working Group, Treya invites a variety of LGBTQIA songwriters and chamber musicians to join them on the legendary stage. Featured performers include Moira Smiley (tUnE-yArDs), Ashni, Julie Brown, MEDIAQUEER and Graham Garlington.

Venue: Joe's Pub at the Public Theatre
