Join FIAF on Sunday, July 16, from noon-5pm, for New York City’s largest celebration of France’s national holiday! A welcoming neighborhood event for more than 20 years, this year, the Bastille Day street fair returns to its recently expanded Madison Avenue location from 59th to 63rd street, offering live music, a rosé & bubbly party, prize drawings, family activities, a special film screening, and more than 50 booths showcasing the best of French food and francophone culture.

Live Performances 12—5pm / Free and open to all The Bastille Day Main Stage welcomes a range of exciting live music and entertainment! Cast members from Broadway’s Moulin Rouge! The Musical will perform excerpts from the new, exciting theatrical adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s iconic musical mash-up. Paris-based singer-songwriter Naomi Greene blends vocals with harp arrangements and elements of indie rock. French-Moroccan singer/composer/producer Malika Zarra performs songs in Berber, Moroccan Arabic, French, and English with mezzo-soprano vocals, and BoByGroove, half of the Brooklyn-based French duo Cosmic Gardens, spins electro beats.

Rosé & Bubbly Party 1-2:30pm • 3:30-5pm / FIAF Skyroom, 22 East 60th Street, NYC

What could make a Bastille Day celebration more complete than rosé and bubbly party! Enjoy an outstanding selection of summer wines courtesy of Vineyard Brands including Champagne Delamotte, La Vieille Ferme, Miraval Rosé, and STUDIO by Miraval. The wines will be coupled with delicious madeleines and mini quiches from Miss Madeleine, macarons from Thierry Atlan, and cheese from Topping off the festivities will be a live performance by Saint Martin’s renowned steel drum band Jolly Boys!

The French Garden 12–5pm / On Madison Avenue, between 60th and 61st Street, NYC Premium shopping returns to The French Garden showcasing more than a dozen luxury shops including exclusive food, beauty, fashion, and a special collaboration with French Wink. There will also be a coffee activation from presenting sponsor, L’OR Coffee.

Market Booths 12–5pm / On Madison Avenue, between 61st and 63rd Street, NYC A range of 50+ food and lifestyle purveyors, including a special Saint Martin Experience booth, will provide something for everyone on Madison Avenue.

Family Activities 12–5pm / On Madison Avenue, between 61st and 63rd Street, NYC Kids of all ages and their families can partake in classic playground games and fitness challenges led by coaches from sports and fitness provider Asphalt Green. And instructors from the FIAF Language Center will lead a special Bastille Day-themed coloring corner.

Film Screening: The Innocent 5:30pm / FIAF Florence Gould Hall, 55 East 59th Street, NYC Part crime thriller, part family farce, Louis Garrel’s The Innocent shows with panache and pathos the dangerous lengths two men go, and the outlandish lies they tell, for the women they love. The film garnered 11 nominations at the 2022 César Awards, winning Best Supporting Actress (Noémie Merlant) and Best Original Screenplay (Louis Garrel, Tanguy Viel, Naïla Guiguet).

Prize Drawing 2023 Online drawing on Friday, July 21 at 3pm ET Enter for a chance to win more than 20 unique items and experiences across fashion, lifestyle, kids, and food including the grand prize: a 5-day dream getaway for two to Saint Martin, courtesy La Samanna, A Belmond Hotel, and the Saint Martin Tourism Office. Premier prizes include two tickets for Broadway’s Moulin Rouge! The Musical and a FIAF Premier Membership & French Class package. Prize drawing entries available online through 3pm ET, Fri, July 21 as well as at FIAF’s Ticket & Info Booths on Sun, July 16, from noon-5pm. Winners will be announced on FIAF’s website evening of July 21.

Visit one of our info booths to learn more about FIAF membership benefits, French classes for kids and adults, our onsite and digital Library, upcoming film screenings, performances, and more. Don’t forget to take advantage of the 10% discount on French classes and memberships offered in honor of Bastille Day! At these booths, you can also purchase your tickets for the prize drawing, the rosé & bubbly party, and the film screening.
