'150 Years: A Portrait of the League' Now On View at The Arts Students League of New York
This year, the Art Students League of New York, the famed art school on 57th Street, is celebrating its 150th anniversary. 150 Years: A Portrait of the League, the first of the League’s special anniversary exhibitions, is now on view through May 11, featuring works from the League’s Permanent Collection of over 2,000 works of art by storied League students and instructors. The exhibit pulls perspectives and depictions of the people, places and things that have punctuated, shaped and built the League since its founding in 1875. 150 Years portrays an intimate, historical portrait of the League and its path towards becoming a crucial institution within American art and pedagogy.
