The Midnight Gardeners League, DC's only comedy secret society, is premiering its newest show premise: a live event where funny folks do a set of stand-up, and then have to come up with a movie pitch based on their jokes. And to raise the stakes, we'll have one of Tinseltown's most celebrated directors on hand to give the thumbs up or thumbs down on these aspiring auteurs.

The Midnight Gardeners League is the world's first ever comedic secret society that's completely open to the public! We craft uniquely-themed, 90 minute shows, combining stand-up, sketch, multimedia, improv & other weird fun to create a comedy experience unlike any other. We've been performing in Washington, DC since 2017, and have been a regular fixture at the DC Improv since 2019. We’ve also taken our act on the road to the Creek and the Cave (NYC), the Unplanned Comedy Warehouse (Pittsburgh), and the 2018 Portland Maine Comedy Festival, 2019 Laugh Index Theater Festival, 2019 NYC Sketch Fest, 2020 Seattle Sketch Fest (virtual), 2021 Roanoke Comedy Festival, and the 2022 Red Eye and Rubber City Comedy Festivals.
