/ un/mute Artist Talk & Public Reception / 09.24/21 6 - 9 PM This Friday, join us at Undercurrent for an artist talk and public reception in celebration of the opening of “un/mute”, an international group exhibition of collaborative works by 28 artists across multiple disciplines. From 6 - 7 PM, an artist talk, moderated by Romanian Cultural Institute New York Director / EUNIC New York President Dorian Branea, featuring "un/mute" co-curator Daina Mattis and artists Sydney Shavers (NYC), Luisa Muhr (Austria), Kris Grey (NYC), Yi Hsuan Lai (NYC), and more, will take place. A public reception will follow from 7 – 9 PM. Opening September 22, 2021, 10 AM - 6 PM. “un/mute” is a project by Undercurrent and the following members of EUNIC New York: Austrian Cultural Forum New York, Czech Center New York, Consulate General of Estonia in New York, Flanders in the USA, Goethe-Institut New York, Lietuvos kultūros institutas / Lithuanian Culture Institute, Arts Council Malta, Polish Cultural Institute New York and Romanian Cultural Institute in New York / ICR New York. This project is also supported by EU National Institutes for Culture, European Union Mission to the United Nations, Hope Recycling Station and Jindrich Chalupecky Society.
