The Bronx Tourism Council

Established in 1991, The Bronx Tourism Council promotes the borough's rich history, institutions, and cultural diversity.

A coalition of over 100 institutions includes world-famous attractions like Yankee Stadium, the Bronx Zoo, and The New York Botanical Gardens, in addition to hidden treasures of the borough like Wave Hill and the Split Rock Golf Course.

The council helps hundreds of thousands of visitors access the Bronx each year through events and initiatives like the First Wednesdays Bronx Culture Trolley Tour, led by the Bronx Council on the Arts; City Island's Bronx Seaside Trolley Tour; and the Bronx Urban Farms Agro-Tours.

The annual Bronx Week Celebration is a 10-day series of events that takes place every May. It serves with both locals and visitors with events like the Bronx Film Festival and the Bronx Ball, where famous Bronxites are inducted into a Walk of Fame.  This summer brings the highly anticipated second annual Salsa Fest, where visitors are invited onto the
"Bronx French Riviera," Orchard Beach, to dance to great salsa bands on the boardwalk.  Other events will feature other aspects of salsa, a musical form that originated in the Bronx—giving the borough its nickname "El Condado de la Salsa" ("The Borough of Salsa").

The Tour de Bronx, a 25 or 40-mile-long bike tour in October that is New York State's largest free cycling event, has drawn over 6,000 cycling enthusiasts to experience the Bronx's amazing neighborhoods, waterfronts, and historic cemeteries. Spring for the Bronx Action Tours (April) and Fall for the Bronx Action Tours (October) include hiking, biking, and canoeing among other eco-adventures. In November, Savor the Bronx Restaurant Week highlights some of the borough's top eateries at a discount.
