Harry Potter fans in New York City can rejoice, as they can now step inside the famous wizard's magical world with Harry Potter: The Exhibition, at Discovery Times Square (226 W. 44th St.). For tickets, call 866-987-9692 or click here.
The final North American stop, before traveling internationally, of the exhibit offers a first-hand look inside the famous wizard's magical world and the opportunity to experience the amazing craftsmanship of hundreds of authentic costumes and props from the Harry Potter films. These artifacts are displayed in immersive settings inspired by the film sets -- including the Great Hall, Hagrid's Hut, and the Gryffindor common room. Fans encounter iconic props and costumes including Harry's wand and glasses, costumes from Hogwarts Yule Ball, props from the most dramatic Quidditch matches, a study model of Dobby the house-elf -- and much more.
Along the way, guests can enter the Quidditch area and toss a Quaffle, pull their own Mandrake in the Herbology vignette, tour a recreation of Hagrid's hut, encounter Buckbeak the Hippogriff, and look into the many eyes of a giant Acromantula spider.
The exhibit runs through Sept. 5, 2011. Harry Potter The Exhibition is a timed-entry experience and will be open 10am-8pm, seven days a week, with last ticketed entry at 6:30pm. Some extended evening hours will also be offered through the run of the exhibit. Visit discoveryts.com for more information. For tickets, call 866-987-9692 or click here.
