T-Pain - Music Hall of Williamsburg
March 22, 2019 - Brooklyn

With 60 hit songs under his belt and two Grammy trophies on his mantle, T-Pain has cemented himself as one of the most influential artists of all time. But even he needed a bit of time to himself to reload. After a successful run of #1 hits, albums, tours and a plethora of cameo appearances, T-Pain took some time off to enjoy the fruits of his labor and perfect his craft. In 2018, T-Pain has returned and he is back and better than ever. He launched an "Everything Must Go" campaign in August to clear out his vault of unreleased music as a gift to his dedicated fans, he is currently the star of the hit television show on Fuse titled "T-Pain's School of Business", the dean of his very own university-Wiscansin University, and has an album slated to come out in early 2019. T-Pain is showing no signs of slowing down and has proven that he only gets better with time.

The Rippingtons Feat. Russ Freeman - Moved to Blue Note - Drag Brunch @ Highline Ballroom
March 22, 2019 - New York

When I started the Rippingtons, I never imagined it would last more than the release of one album, let alone thirty years!" recalls Russ Freeman, leader and founder of the pioneering, GRAMMY® nominated group The Rippingtons, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary year with the release of True Stories, the band's 22nd recording to be released June 24, 2016. True Stories, recorded over an intensive three-month span, is a refreshing elixir that will delight devout fans of The Rippingtons and attract new ones. Joined by original Rippington, alto and soprano saxophonist Brandon Fields, drummer Dave Karasony, bassist and rhodes player Rico Belled and special guest Jeffrey Osborne, Freeman orchestrates ten compelling originals. The album opens with the hypnotic and scintillating "Wild Tales," the CD's first single, which Freeman calls an "experiment in randomness." Fusing elements of jazz with traces of EDM and world influences, The Rippingtons foreshadow the journey ahead and promise it to be nothing short of exhilarating. Many of the classic Rippingtons hit repertoire prominently feature rich saxophone melodies and this time out Freeman showcases his unparalleled guitar wizardry.

March 22, 2019 - Lower Manhatan

After a 15-year absence Sylvain Émard is now back onstage, rediscovering himself as a dancer changed by the passage of time as he ventures into a fascinating territory of experimentation. With Le chant des sirènes, he probes the states of being of a man who wants to believe that all is not lost. Holding high his hope like a subversive banner, he refuses to succumb to the glitter and sparkle of mirage. Against all odds he dances, a solitary maestro haunted by the sound and fury of the world he inhabits. Sylvain Émard founded Sylvain Émard Danse, in 1990. His choreographic works reveal a creator in full command of his talent, an artist who has won the admiration of audiences at home and abroad. His repertoire of more than 30 unique pieces has been praised for its diversity. The quality of his artistic work gave Sylvain Émard the opportunity to collaborate as guest choreographer in theatre, opera and cinema. Sylvain Émard is winner of numerous prestigious awards, such as the Jean A. Chalmers Award for Great Choreographic Distinction (1996). Sylvain Émard is also co-founder of Circuit-Est centre chorégraphique.

Mansionair - The Bowery Ballroom
March 23, 2019 - New York

Sydney-based trio Mansionair made their debut with breakout hit 'Hold Me Down' which made radio waves from the clubs of Australia, over to Paris and across the ocean to Brooklyn. It all began in 2014 when singer Jack Froggatt, who had been playing the local music scene, accepted an invitation to top-line a suite of production beats by producer/guitarist Lachlan Bostock and drummer/producer Alex Nicholls. "Hold Me Down," a mélange of ethereal falsetto and ambient-synth-pop, hit one million views in just two months, brought together the individual talents of each musician and solidified the formation of the three-piece band now known as Mansionair. Soon after, the band signed to Glassnote Records and were handpicked by genre-bending trio CHVRCHES to open on their headline tour across the USA, UK, and Europe. Mansionair went on to join Alt-J and Florence & The Machine on the road, most recently wrapping up a tour with London Grammar. At the tail end of 2016, Mansionair released bristling track 'Easier,' which has now reached over 12 million streams, a testament to the fan-base they've created in such a short period of time. While working on their latest offering, the band collaborated... (read more)

Hazey Eyes - Mercury Lounge
March 23, 2019 - New York

Age Limit: 16 and Over His soul comes alive on the dancefloor. Ascribed as "emotional dance music," Hazey Eyes calls upon the throbbing heartache of the early '00s alt-rock epoch while splicing it with shimmering indie and electronica aesthetics. He pulls on those strings once again for his upcoming EP, Scars, an effervescent elixir of gluey hip-hop and mood-based pop-art. Only 22 years old, mastermind Thomas Michel has cultivated 63 million streams on Spotify alone, so, it's no surprise he's landed touring gigs with Shallou and Petit Biscuit. The new project is Michel at his most vulnerable. Opener "Scars," featuring Yoke Lore, sees him reveling in the past and its lasting imprint on his skin. "I will always fall hard" echoes one of his most candid lyrics, paired with a glittering, erratic beat to calm his nerves. "Hungover You," alongside Moli, buzzes the fingertips but swerves more freely between somber lo-fi whispers and the feverish club-rave we've come to bask in. The Dresage-featuring "Living Wild" washes over the listener in cool drip-drops, while "Stuck in Ya Game" with Appleby explodes like confetti on the eardrums. What is most impressive is Michel's fearlessness in the... (read more)

We were told to write a bio for our band DBUK, my first response was to question my knowledge on biographies vs. autobiographies, implying their same lack of knowledge. Their humorless response was sending me this template as guidance. Here is how you want to structure your band's "bio/one sheet" and what content should be in it: 1 Band logo – DBUK. 2 Name of the band – See above. 3 Member names and what they do – Rebecca Vera, Vet Tech; Lord Dwight Pentacost, Sales; Slim Cessna, CEO Of SlimCessnaMusic.com; Munly J Munly, Unemployed. 4 What kind of music you play (DO NOT mention that you "sound like Blink 182 meets Eminem!" When you compare yourself to another band, you automatically set the mood for the potential listener) - Good...we play good music, loved by fans from Box Car Racer to Yelawolf. 5 Where to find your music: PureVolume, ReverbNation, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, etc. - Yes, all of these, and probably iTunes, as well as at our new record label, SCACUNINCOPORATED 6 Where the band is from – Denver Colorado. 7 Average age of the band – That’s an easy one, 45.25 – though I might have missed Rebecca’s last birthday, so this might be off, and I might find out soon....
