To celebrate National French Fry Day, buzzy LES fry joint 375° is serving up a special lobster poutine throughout the weekend (July 13-16). The dish features the shop’s famous thrice-cooked fries, smothered with a decadent bisque and topped with fresh Maine lobster and cheese curds. Be sure to get there this week; the special debuts on National Fry Day and only goes through Sunday. Pommes Frites

Pomme Frites is home to NYC’s most beloved Belgian Fries. Authentically made with a double cook process, these potatoes manage to be both crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. And if the fries themselves weren’t enough, Pomme Frites has over 25 dipping sauces for patrons to try out with flavors ranging from Vietnamese Pineapple May and Mexican Ketchup to Organic Black Truffle May and Peanut Satay. 128 Macdougal St., 212-674-1234, pommefritesnyc.com

Best of NYC French Fries: Mile End Delicatessen (NoHo)

Mile End Delicatessen

Poutine! Get your poutine! And makes sure you get it at Mile End Delicatessen. The concept may be simple (fries, cheese, and chicken gravy), but the flavors are anything but that. Using chicken gravy instead of the usual beef gravy, this Jewish take on the traditional poutine holds its own. Dare we say, it may even be better than the original? You’ll have to be the judge, just make sure you come with a ready appetite and empty stomach. Additional location in Midtown East. 53 Bond St., 212-529-2990, mileenddeli.com

Best of NYC French Fries: Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken (East Village)

Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken

Blue Ribbon Fried Chicken takes the concept of cheese fries to the next level with their Fries With The Works menu item. Their thin and crispy fries come with an aged cheddar melted on top, as well as smoked bacon and sour cream to seal the deal. Because the fries are shoestring, they don’t over power the toppings, instead letting the cheese, bacon, and sour cream steal the show (while the fries themselves perfectly compliment the dish with their crispiness). 28 E. 1st St., 212-228-0404, blueribbonfriedchicken.com

Best of NYC French Fries: Sticky’s Finger Joint (Greenwich Village)

Sticky's Finger Joint

Are you a fan of roasting marshmallows around the campfire (or at the very least, eating those roasted marshmallows)? Sticky’s Finger Joint serves up S’more Fries that are as innovative as they are appetizing. They start off with some classic fries that have been tossed in a S’more sauce and then finish things off with some crushed graham crackers, mini marshmallows, and parsley sprinkled on top. Additional locations in Murray Hill and Hell’s Kitchen. 31 W. 8th St., 212-777-7131, stickysfingerjoint.com

Best of NYC French Fries: Calexico (Upper East Side)

Calexico

If you want to add some Mexican flare to your fries, head over to Calexico, where some of the New York City’s best Carne Fries are available as a starter dish. While the Mexican fry trend may have started in Southern California, it has quickly made its way out east, and considering how delicious they are, we couldn’t be happier about it. These chile-cilantro fries come topped with carne asada, caramelized onions, black beans, guacamole, cheese sauce, pico de gallo, and sour cream. 1491 Second Ave., 347-967-5955, calexico.net

Best of NYC French Fries: The Spotted Pig (West Village)

The Spotted Pig

The high street cred for The Spotted Pig's shoestring fries is validtheir light, crispy, salty goodness perfectly complements a juicy burger and a cold brew. (They hold up just fine solo, too!) 314 W. 11th St., 212-620-0393, thespottedpig.com
