Fashion mogul Marcus Lemonis has helmed over 100 fashion businesses, and he has brought his newest venture to the Meatpacking District in New York City. MARCUS, which celebrated its grand opening in May, carries must-have women’s labels like Citizens of Humanity, Theory, and Elizabeth & James.
This sleek white space contains shelves of denim, cases of trinkets, and tables of t-shirts, all beneath crystal chandeliers. Denim brands include J Brand, Joe’s Jeans, Mother, Paige, and DL1961. You can also find your new favorite printed dress by Rebecca Taylor or wear-anywhere t-shirt by Michael Stars or James Perse. Sport a pair of Ellison sunglasses this summer, handmade in Greece and sold in the new MARCUS store, pick up a coffee table book by Taschen, or try on a luxury watch from one of the store’s jewelry cases.
MARCUS is for the trend-setter who likes mixing great brands to make a note-perfect outfit. A luxury boutique offers a variety of brands, like a department store, but you’re not jogging up and down the escalators and wading through racks of items you don’t want. In case you don’t believe us, take a look at this adorable summer outfit, complete with Madonna tee and white shorts. And we’re now officially obsessed with this navy blue floral dress with buttons.

The store also carries a select number of gifts like eye-catching art books, candles, adorable ballcaps, and candy. Even if you’re not buying a gift, we recommend you pick up a MARCUS brand chocolate bar before you check out to cap off your retail therapy with a sweet treat!
All brands are selected by Marcus Lemonis himself, who got started in the fashion world when Upper East Side boutique COURAGE b appeared on Lemonis’ hit CNBC reality TV show The Profit in 2014, helping to revive the small business. With a few additional retail acquisitions under his belt, all Lemonis's brick and mortar brand concepts have evolved to become MARCUS as of 2017.

This Meatpacking store is only the latest of many MARCUS boutiques, which are also located in Palm Beach, Aspen, Dallas, Chicago, and other cities nationwide. “It’s been an immensely rewarding journey to expand our businesses around the country, but it’s especially fulfilling to bring this one back home to New York City,” says Stephanie Menkin, President of Marcus Lemonis Fashion Group.
The opening party on May 10 closed off part of West 13th Street to accommodate branded sweet carts, food trucks, balloon art, and a carpeted entrance to the new store. Celebrity guests included Sports Illustrated 2018 Cover Girl Danielle Herrington, model and humanitarian Mari Malek, and NFL athlete Dale Moss. The production team for The Profit also filmed that evening for the upcoming season of the show, which premieres Tuesday, June 12.
The next time you’re in Meatpacking for a shopping trip, looking for raw-hem denim, or stackable gold rings, remember MARCUS!
