What Manner of Man is This?
Soprano Mari-Yan Pringle, mezzo-soprano Krysty Swann, tenor Limmie Pulliam, bass-baritone Samson Setu, and members of the Brooklyn Ecumenical Choir and The Concert Chorale join forces for a performance of part I of the exciting new oratorio What Manner of Man is This? written and conducted by Courtney Carey. Using Negro Spirituals as its libretto, the new oratorio highlights the five major milestones in the New Testament narrative of the life of Jesus- his Baptism, Transfiguration, Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension. Part I focuses on the dramatic circumstances surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ.
