The Broadway at Birdland concert series is thrilled to announce that after their sold-out debut performance, "The Donny Nova Band Featuring Julia Trojan" from the Broadway musical, Bandstand, will reassemble once more for two special concerts on Sunday, March 11 at 6pm, and Monday, March 12 at 7pm. "The Donny Nova Band featuring Julia Trojan," fresh from the Tony Award-winning musical Bandstand, will return to make it big in New York City! Corey Cott (as Donny Nova), Brandon J. Curtis celebrates the centennial of its famous alumnus, Leonard Bernstein, with the New York premiere of the chamber version of A Quiet Place. Garth Edwin Sunderland's adaptation of Bernstein's late, moving masterpiece, with libretto by Stephen Wadsworth, features a brilliant ensemble of singers and musicians from the Curtis Opera Theatre in a semi-staged production. A Quiet Place is sponsored in part by BNP Paribas and the Allen R. and Judy Brick Freedman Venture Fund for Opera. The Curtis Opera Theatre season is sponsored by the Wyncote Foundation. This performance is part of Curtis on Tour, the Nina von Maltzahn global touring initiative of the Curtis Institute of Music.
